Home Surveillance System
Home surveillance system
This is a simple home surveillance system I made in University. It is based on two Raspberry PI's continually loop recording. The system saves ~3 days worth of recordings locally between RPI's and local server.
Two camera mounts are designed using SolidWorks, FDM printed using PLA in a Bambu X1C printer. More details on each mount:
This camera mount is assembled using heat-set inserts for secure fastening of the 3 separate parts. Small magnets are integrated into the base, allowing the assembly to be held upside down and positioned (in yaw) in the desired direction.
This birdhouse-style camera mount is designed to require no additional fasteners, except for securing the camera and Raspberry Pi to the structure. The birdhouse itself is constructed from slip-fit FDM printed components due to fastener cost constraints.
This flowchart illustrates the integration of two cameras with a local server hosted on a repurposed PC.
